PSAT / NMSQT

Just like the SAT, the PSAT includes two sections—Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math—comprised of three tests: Reading, Writing & Language, and Math. There is no Essay.

Most students take the PSAT at their high school in the fall of their sophomore or junior year.

At Calvary Christian Academy we believe in creating as many opportunities as possible for our students to own their future. That’s why we offer the PSAT/NMSQT® (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) to our students. Whether they’re thinking about attending a two- or four-year college, going straight into the workforce, or aren’t sure what they want to do after high school, the PSAT/NMSQT can help make the path clearer for students.

This fall the PSAT/NMSQT will be administered in a new digital format that will provide an overall easier testing experience for students. The SAT will follow in spring 2024. Students will take the PSAT/NMSQT in October using their own school-issued device. For questions about the PSAT/NMSQT or college and career planning, please contact Mrs. Comfort.

CCA Service Hours

Our desire is to live righteously by developing a servant heart in vocation and ministry as we seek to follow Christ’s command in Matthew 22:37-40. To encourage this development, we offer our students ideas, opportunities, and incentives to serve God and society in the hope that this service will become a lifelong habit.

Students who perform a minimum of 10 hours per year of volunteer service during each of their high school years (9-12) at CCA will be recognized for their service at graduation.  This service is non-CCA -sponsored and performed outside of school. Completed forms should be turned in to the school office.
